Afifa Bu Ego Cooperative, based in Enugu State is involved in the recycling and exporting of agricultural wastes and by-products. Instead of these agrobased wastes such as cassava peels, rice husks, maize stalks, and palm kernel shells being discarded, these materials are recycled into animal feed, biofuels, organic fertilizers, and biodegradable packaging.
Beyond local reuse, these agrobased wastes are also exported to global markets seeking eco-friendly raw materials for bioenergy and green manufacturing. Afifa Bu Ego Cooperative is investing and positioning itself at the forefront by creating jobs, reducing pollution, and unlocking new revenue streams.
